The eruption in Sundhnúksgigar continues. The activity has decreased significantly since yesterday, the phreatomagmatic activity observed yesterday afternoon has ceased and no ash is currently being produced. Most activity is located near the crater that formed in the last eruption in March, however some fissures remain active north of that crater.
