Virkniyfirlit:
The effusive eruption which commenced on 16 March continues with the extrusion of lava and release of volcanic gases. Gas pollution at ground level represents an hazard for the people as the measured concentrations did show peaks up to 15,000 micrograms/m3 at a distance of few km from the active vents. The eruption continues without the production of ash.
